PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for sharing a digital database. SOLUTION: This system for sharing a digital database is constituted of a client platform, a server platform and a network. The database of the client platform is provided with the same data format as the database of the server platform. Also, the database is shared between the client platform and the server platform through the network so that it is possible to reduce a storage capacity to be occupied by digital data.
