PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developing apparatus, even if one heater among a plurality of heating rollers has failure due to disconnection, which will not stop the operation, and moreover, can give the same power as before. SOLUTION: Regarding the heat developing apparatus, provided with a safety device for preventing overheating and having a plurality of heating rollers for heating a recording material during carrying built-in, in the case a heater in the heating rollers is disconnected, the temperature and carrying speed of all or a part of the heating rollers, other than that are changed, thus heat development is continued under conditions that are identical to those prior to the trouble.
