The invention relates to a garment with improved insulation. The inventive garment (1) includes an annular area (1a) which surrounds part of the body (1) and which comprises an inflatable sleeve (4) which can expand from a rest position, in which the part of the body (7) can be passed freely therethrough, and an expanded position, in which the sleeve is solidly and hermetically connected to the inner face of the garment and is applied directly and uniformly along the entire periphery of the body part, such as to form a continuous sealing joint in relation to the exterior of the garment. In addition, means (5, 6) for inflating the inflatable sleeve (4) can be accessed by the user from the outer face (3) of the garment or from the outer or front face of the sleeve. The sleeve (4) can be fixed directly to the inner face (2) of the annular area (1a) or be solidly connected to the inner face of the garment using an intermediate part, such as a tubular part which may be expandable and impermeable and which is fixed to the sleeve and to the inner face.
