A mobile communication terminal having a function for updating executable codes and an operating method thereof are provided to download only changed executable codes in a memory block unit by configuring hash table with changed executable codes information, thereby reducing the waste of resource due to transmission/reception of a great quantity of data and reducing the time required to download. A mobile communication terminal having a function for updating executable codes comprises the followings: a memory(20) which stores the executable codes by program driving; a communication interface(30) for data transceiving with an external device such as a computer, a mobile communication server and so on; and a controller(10) which determines only changed parts of updated executable codes, and enables the executable codes of the memory(20) to be updated by configuring and downloading a hash table.
