An apparatus for magnifying a screen in a portable device is provided to largely magnify the small-sized LCD screen of the portable device and to show the magnified LCD screen, thereby providing a more actual video to a user. An apparatus for magnifying a screen in a portable device comprises the followings: a magnifying lens(100) of a square shape; a height support(120) which is foldably installed in both lower sides of the magnifying lens(100), determines height from an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) screen of the portable device and supports the LCD screen; a fixing unit(130) which is installed in a lower part of the height support(120) and is inserted into a main body of the portable device to fix the magnifying lens(100) at the front of the LCD screen.
