A method capable of plating a body product with a shape that is difficult to be connected to a cathode by an ordinary electroplating method using magnetism without using a barrel plating method, and a method for manufacturing an electroformed product, which can perform decoration plating on the front and side faces of the electroformed product through one plating process irrespective of the shape of the electroformed product by the electroplating method using magnetism, are provided. In an electroplating method for forming a metal electrodeposition layer on the surface of the product body by flowing a DC electric current through the anode and the cathode after connecting a plating metal(110) to an anode and connecting a product body to a cathode in a plating bath(100) containing an electrolyte solution comprising ions of metal to be plated, an electroplating method using magnetism is characterized in that a method for connecting the product body to the cathode comprises adhering the product body to a metal plate(120) with magnetism and connecting the product body adhered metal plate to the cathode. The product body is a paramagnetic substance. The product body adhered metal plate is formed by adhering permanent magnets(130) to the backside of the metal plate, or is formed of an electromagnet.
