<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle having an engine and a motor generator capable of adding the output of the other source of driving force to the vehicle driving force based on a vehicle condition, while one source of driving force is in operation. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle includes the engine, the motor generator, a torque converter, a lockup clutch being provided on a path for transmitting an engine torque to a wheel, and an automatic transmission provided between the torque converter and the wheel. The motor generator is connected to a wheel different from the wheel to which the engine torque is transmitted. The hybrid vehicle also includes an increase request detection means (steps 122, 123) for detecting a request for increasing the vehicle driving force; and a control means (step 124) for adding the output of the motor generator to the vehicle driving force while maintaining the engine torque, when the lockup clutch is engaged, the increase request of the driving force is detected, and no abrupt acceleration request is given. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
