METHOD FOR NECKING RECTANGULAR CAN AND ITS APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a necking method of a rectangular can and its necking apparatus by which a can is necked into a stable shape even when it is the rectangular can. SOLUTION: In the necking apparatus 10 for supporting the neck forming part 4c in the opening part of the can body of the rectangular can 4 with an inner die 11 and also reducing the part with a necking die 12, the lower part of the neck forming part 4c is supported with the second inner die 13 of an expandable and reducible segmental die. In this way, the tube stock 4A can be matched to the necking die 12, a flat part 4a can be also necked in a desired shape just like the rectangular parts 4b and forming stable in a shape is possible.
