摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight and the manufacturing cost of an axle shaft. SOLUTION: In this axle shaft 20A, a wheel is attached to a flange section 20a. A connecting section 20b is connected with a driving force transmitting means which transmits the driving force of a driving means. A connecting shaft section 20c connects the flange section 20a with the connecting section 20b. The flange section 20a, the connecting section 20b, and the connecting shaft section 20c are respectively formed into separate bodies, and the connecting shaft section 20c is formed of an aluminum based material. The flange section 20a and the connecting section 20b are formed of a steel based material. The flange section 20a and the connecting shaft section 20c, and the connecting section 20b and the connecting shaft section 20c are bonded by friction pressure welding.
