PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer flocculant with excellent flocculation performance which is the polymer flocculant of ultrahigh molecular weight, more excellent in stringiness, solubility and flocculation performance than a conventional product and usable for treatment of various industrial waste water and sludge and treatment of sewage sludge. SOLUTION: The polymer flocculant consists of a water-soluble polymer having a crosslinkage point, and any polymer of monomers shown by a general formula (C), general formula (D), general formula (A) and general formula (B) which are polymerized or copolymerized under a crosslinking agent or any copolymer of following combination compositions of the general formula (C), (D), (A) and (B), that are (A)+(B), (A)+(B)+(C), (A)+(B)+(D), (A)+(B)+(C)+(D), (A)+(C), (A)+(D), (A)+(C)+(D), (B)+(C), (B)+(D) and (B)+(C)+(D), wherein R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>show an alkyl group of C1-C4, R<SB>5</SB>shows H or an alkyl group of C1-C4 and X shows an anionic ion in the general formula (C), R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>show an alkyl group of C1-C4, R<SB>5</SB>shows H or an alkyl group of C1-C4 and X shows an anionic ion in the general formula (D), R<SB>1</SB>shows H or CH<SB>3</SB>in the general formula (A), and R<SB>2</SB>shows H or CH<SB>3</SB>in the general formula (B).
