PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment control system using sound signals, capable of controlling equipment in accordance with the reproduction of the sound signal, by utilizing an input/output interface which is provided as the standard equipment, without having to add significant modifications to an existing sound signal reproducing apparatus and a time series driving gear of control target. SOLUTION: When the sound signal embedded with a control code is reproduced by the sound signal reproducing apparatus 4, a sound is outputted from an L loudspeaker 5. When the sound outputted from the L loudspeaker 5 is acquired by a microphone 2, an extraction device computer 1 extracts the control code embedded into the sound signal and transmits the extracted control code to a video/music player 3.
