PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device wherein thickness in depth can be made thin as much as possible, and to provide an organic EL display with excellent moisture resistance. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent display device is provided with a first substrate wherein at least an organic luminous element layer is formed in one surface and a second substrate disposed facing the surface wherein the organic luminous element layer of the first substrate is formed. The first substrate and the second substrate are fixed through a wall.
