PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform servo correction for preventing the propagation of errors in SSW. SOLUTION: A servo position signal generation section 231 generates a servo position signal for indicating the current position of a read element, based on a servo signal from a servo channel 211. A target position setting section 232 generates a correction value by the product-sum operation of PES in track write followed by the read element and a preregistered correction coefficient. A correction target position is generated from the correction value and the reference target position and is outputted to a section 233 for calculating the amount of position error. The section 233 for calculating the amount of position error generates a position error signal (PES) from the servo position signal and the target position signal and outputs it to a servo controller 234. The servo controller 234 generates a control signal (DACOUT) according to PES and a motor driver unit 22 supplies current having a prescribed value to a VCM 15 according to the control signal.
