PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the electric power consumption at the time of selecting a memory cell which does not physically exist in semiconductor memory having memory cells of the number smaller than the exponentiation of 2. SOLUTION: The semiconductor storage device is provided with a circuit which judges whether or not an address input, when made, is an ineffective address input which does not physically exist.
