PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a traffic accident by sadden running-out of a pedestrian from a gate of a building facing a road. SOLUTION: This pedestrian running-out alarm system has: a pedestrian detection means detecting presence of a person near the inside of the gate of the building; a notification means for an approaching vehicle notifying the vehicle approaching the front of the gate of the building, of a detection signal of the presence of the person detected by the pedestrian detection means; a warning means for a driver receiving the notification by the notification means for the approaching vehicle and warning the driver of the vehicle; an approaching vehicle detection means detecting the vehicle approaching the gate of the building; and a warning means for the pedestrian warning the person present near the inside of the gate of the building, of presence of the approaching vehicle when the approaching vehicle detection means detects the vehicle.
