PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position management system for a chassis, capable of suppressing theft and missing of the chassis itself by acquiring positional information of the chassis. SOLUTION: This system performs position management of the chassis using a transmitter 1 attached to the chassis and a receiver 11 for receiving information transmitted from the transmitter. The transmitter comprises a GPS receiver 3 which detects current position of the chassis as position information, a transmitting means 1 which transmits the positional information detected by the GPS receiver, a battery 8 for driving the GPS receiver and the transmitter, and a waterproof accommodation case 2 for accommodating the GPS receiver, the transmitting means and the battery. The receiver comprises a receiving means 12 which receives the positional information transmitted by transmitting means, and a display means 14 which displays current position of the chassis based on the positional information received by the receiving means.
