PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption while performing weighing with high accuracy. SOLUTION: An oscillation circuit 10 generates an oscillation signal with its cycle changing depending on a load impressed thereon. A main period is measured by a counter 8, the main period being later than the starting point of the cycle and comprising periods before and after the end point of the cycle. A first period from the starting point of the cycle to the starting point of the main period and a second period from the end point of the main period to the end point of the cycle are measured by a digital time measuring instrument 24.
