#CMT# #/CMT# The assembly to give a precise measurement of the consistency of a cast strand (53) and/or the jaw width, at a continuous casting machine, has a number of measurement rollers (51) rotating on axes (58) in contact with the strand. One guide (52) carries the rotating axes and a second guide (59) slides against it with a linear drive (56) to engage both guides. The flow forces at the linear drive are measured by a plate/plug (54) and/or bolt (55) and/or eye (57).
