PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article made of a powder metallurgical tool steel which contains high chromium, high vanadium and high niobium and shows greatly improved abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The article made of the powder metallurgical tool steel with corrosion resistance and, abrasion resistance is manufactured by hot-isostatic-pressing high-chromium, high-vanadium, high-niobium powder particulates, which have been nitrogen-atomized and are in a prealloyed state. The alloy is characterized by very high abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance and is especially useful for manufacturing a component part of an advanced bearing structure or a machine part exposed to severe abrasive wear and corrosive circumstances observed e.g. in plastic injection molding industry or food industry.
