RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition that is excellent in rigidity, light diffusing performance (an optimum combination of light utilization efficiency and light diffusing property) and flame retardancy and has a relatively small specific gravity and to provide a sheet-like molded article such as a light diffusing plate or the like utilizing the resin composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition is produced by dispersing a mesoporous inorganic filler having a weight average particle size of 0.5-100μm into a resin component comprising at least (a) 100-5 pts.wt. aromatic polycarbonate resin and (b) 0-95 pts.wt. alicyclic polyester resin having a refractive index in a range of 1.50-1.57. The resin composition can enhance the rigidity without largely increasing the specific gravity of the resin composition and at the same time give excellent light diffusing performance.
