PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam aerosol composition forming good foam irrespective of an oily component contained with a high content in a stock solution and affording the formed foam with high formation holding properties. SOLUTION: The foam aerosol composition is composed of the stock solution containing a polyhydric alcohol, an oily component, water and a nonionic surfactant and a propellant composed of a liquefied gas. The content of the polyhydric alcohol based on the whole is 35.0-89.1 mass% and the content of the oily component based on the whole is 0.7-45.0 mass%. The ratio of the content of the polyhydric alcohol to the content of the oily component is (99/1) to (50/50) and the content of the nonionic surfactant based on the whole is 1-20 mass%.
