PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus in which a level shifter or a REF generating circuit can be easily inspected before shipping the product. SOLUTION: The image display apparatus includes a level shifter 16 and a REF generator circuit 17 which applies a REF voltage on the level shifter 16, both fabricated on a substrate where a pixel array for image display is fabricated, wherein both of the level shifter and the REF generating circuit have connecting terminals to a path element outside the substrate. The connecting terminal is connected to a wire 31a in a FPC 31 no later than shipping the product, so as to connect the level shifter 16 and the REF generating circuit 17 to each other.
