PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a degradation in the fixing belt 8 and fixing padding 9 and reduce the maintenance frequencies in an image forming device having a fixing device 39 of belt nip system. SOLUTION: This image forming device has a torque detector 53 to detect the torque of the driver 54 of the heating rotor 1 in the fixing unit 39 of belt nip system and a controller 51 to display the message from the detection results of the above torque detector 52 on the display 62.
