PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the temperature of a rotating member by a non-contact temperature detection means. SOLUTION: The heating device has the temperature detection means 18 for detecting the temperature of the rotating member 20 in a non-contact state so as to control a heating body 16, and a backup member 32 opposed to the temperature detection means through the rotating member and coming into contact with the rotating member so that the conveyance of the rotating member relative to the temperature detection means may be stable in the downstream area of a nip part N in the rotating direction of the rotating member 20.
