PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven system in which the volume of the motor-driven system can be decreased, and further an energy loss in the system can be reduced, and to provide an electric automobile using the same. SOLUTION: A motor-driven system includes power equipment configured to incorporate an AC motor for driving, a fuel cell for supplying electricity to the power equipment via an inverter, a gas supply device for supplying fuel to the fuel cell, and an electrical double layer capacitor for supplying the power source (input) electricity of the gas supply device. The system is configured to include a means for compensating, when the power equipment requires electricity greater than the output of the fuel cell, for this requirement with electricity from a plurality of electrical double layer capacitors; a means for causing electricity, when fuel cells are operated, from the fuel cells to compensate for the plurality of electrical double layer capacitors as required; and a means for connecting secondary batteries to the plurality of electrical double layer capacitors via DC-DC converters, respectively, and causing electricity of each electrical double layer capacitor to compensate for each of the secondary batteries.
