<p>The invention relates to a process and device for introducing bulk materials into a metallurgical vessel, especially for introducing waste iron into a direct-heating arc furnace provided with a central electrode and closed to the upper side by a gas-tight cover. The cover (15) is rotary entirely or on an exterior annular portion (16) and it is provided with one or more charging holes. On these charging holes, there are located containers (41) with bulk material, into some loading supports (19). In their turn, these are provided with discharging holes and with emptying mechanisms, which may have the shape of a pusher (42), of a swing gear (53) or of a belt-carrier (54). At the joint between the discharging hole and the container (41) and the charging hole (17) of the furnace, there are provided sealing elements for preventing the pollution.</p> |
