A mobile communication terminal having a horizontally rotating cover is provided to enable a speaker part to be automatically rotated by sensing rotation in case that the horizontally rotating cover is rotated, thereby enabling a user to perform a call by outputting sound signals through a first speaker. A body has a microphone for inputting sound signals and a keypad for inputting numerals and characters, and an antenna for communications with a base station, and a battery for supplying power. A speaker part has a speaker for outputting the sound signals. A horizontally rotating cover(113) has a display device for outputting video signals. A rotary drive part(210) includes a first rotating axis(201), which is formed perpendicularly to the front side of the horizontally rotating cover(113) and of which an upper end is connected to the horizontally rotating cover(113), and a first bevel gear(203), which is formed in the lower end of the first rotating axis(201), and a second bevel gear(205), which is engaged with the first bevel gear(203) and is driven, and a second rotating axis(207), of which one end is connected to the second bevel gear(205) and the other end is connected to the speaker part.
