A method and a device for offering knowledge needed for a work process are provided to actively offer knowledge information needed for the work process by recognizing the work process of the user. A knowledge database(500) stores the knowledge information usable to the work process. A needed knowledge providing device(300) generates and stores index data representing contents of the knowledge information by receiving the knowledge information from the knowledge database, and generates and outputs a list of the needed knowledge corresponding to work process ID information inputted from the outside by searching the index data. A work processing device(200) outputs the work process ID information representing the work process processed in a user terminal(100) to the needed knowledge providing device and outputs the needed knowledge list received from the needed knowledge providing device if the user terminal is connected.
