<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable confirmation of circuit status and operating condition by simple operation from an antenna of a separate antenna type onboard equipment used for DSRC communication. <P>SOLUTION: The onboard equipment for DSRC communication is constructed to have a body (2), an antenna (3), and a coaxial cable (4) for connecting both. The antenna has a parallel circuit consisting of an antenna circuit (5) between the inner conductor (4a) and outer conductor (4b) and a two-terminal resistance circuit network (6) whose resistance between two terminals varies by operating an operating switch (SW1). The body has an operation status detecting means and signal processing means for detecting the status of the operating switch from the change of the series resistance of the parallel circuit through the coaxial cable from the body. When detecting the operation of the operating switch, the equipment diagnoses the circuit status and operating condition and informs a driver of them with sound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
