<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing apparatus and a data processing method for eliminating jitter caused in the case of receiving video images from network cameras at the same time and reproducing the video images via the Internet or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The data processing apparatus includes: a packet reception means for receiving a plurality of packetized moving picture streams at the same time; a stream distribution means for distributing received packets by each stream on the basis of particularizing information in the packets; an image frame unit storage means for storing the distributed stream data in the unit of the image frames; a frame capturing means for periodically extracting the stored image frames at a frame rate of each stream; a frame count means for storing each packet of each moving picture stream as the image frame data and counting the number of frames for a prescribed period; and a frame capturing correction means for detecting a network jitter change amount on the basis of a result of the count and calculating a correction timing of each stream on the basis of the change amount so as to correct the frame capturing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
