<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meta data distribution device capable of distributing meta data regarding contents of a key station to a receiver as meta data of contents of its own station in the case of performing server type broadcast using the contents of the key station and the meta data regarding the contents in network programs using a broadcast network in network stations except the key station. <P>SOLUTION: Since the meta data of the contents of the network programs to be broadcast via the network in its own station is extracted, converted from the meta data of the contents of the key station using an extraction conversion table 105b and a station unique data 105c and the extracted and converted meta data is distributed, the meta data of the contents of the key station is distributed to the receiver as the meta data of the contents of its own station.
