摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To balance energy of a vehicle even when increasing and decreasing an engine speed of an internal combustion engine, in response to an increase and a decrease in the rotational speed of a driving shaft or a vehicular speed. <P>SOLUTION: This power output device/method limits a torque Trtmp based on an acceleration opening degree Acc or the like, by upper and lower limits Trmax, Trmin based on a shift position SP, to set a required torque Tr*, when traveling using a sequential shaft, (S110-S130), and limits a torque Tetmp of outputting required power Pe, by upper and lower limits Temax, Temin based on an engine target speed Ne* based on the vehicular speed V and the shift position SP, and charge and discharge required power Pb* of a battery, to set an engine target torque Te* (S160-S180).
