CATALYST BAG FILTER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst bag filter having a long lifetime and being capable of exerting practically desired air permeability and its manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: The catalyst bag filter 1 comprises a filter substrate having voids and a catalyst and a polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) resin at least part of which are arranged in the voids. At least part of the PTFE resin is unbaked, and the mass ratio of the PTFE resin to the catalyst is 5-30%. The catalyst bag filter can be manufactured through an immersion process of immersing a filter substrate having voids in a solution containing the catalyst and the PTFE resin in a mass ratio of the resin to the catalyst of 5-30% and a heat treatment process of heat-treating the solution having penetrated into the filter substrate so as to leave at least part of the PTFE resin unbaked.
