PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability capacitor used for rvarious electronic equipments, by solving the problem of the possible leakage of liquid due to dispersion in sealing. SOLUTION: A capacitor element 1 is stored in a metal case 2 together with a driving electrolyte. The opening of the metal case 2 is sealed by way of a sealing rubber 5; the open end of the metal case 2 is subjected to curling process to compress the sealing rubber 5, so that the stress (y) that is generated at the sealing rubber 5 is 0.5 MPa or higher; and by keeping the stress (y) generated at the sealing rubber 5 at an optimum value, sealing capability is enhanced, resulting in a reliable capacitor having no leakage for the driving electrolyte.
