PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane optical circuit assembly having high reliability. SOLUTION: The plane optical circuit assembly (100) by one embodiment of the present invention is such that an optical element (118) is optically coupled to a plane optical circuit, fixed with a first adhesive (113), and additionally reinforced from above with a second adhesive (114). Further, a protective member for protecting the plane optical circuit assembly can also be fixed with the second adhesive. The second adhesive prevents moisture from infiltrating from the boundary between the first adhesive and the plane optical circuit, enabling a moisture/heat resistance characteristic to be improved. Furthermore, the second adhesive and the protective member can protect the plane optical circuit assembly against a mechanical external force and can strengthen environmental resistance characteristics including mechanical stability.
