SOLUTION: In the information communication system, a transmitter displays image data for calibration on a transmitting side image display part 230 at the time of starting the communication. A receiver picks up image data for calibration and displays recognition result images on a receiving side display part 230. The transmitter picks up the recognition result images, determines a calibration factor or a function 235 for calibrating output characteristics of the transmitting side image display part 230 and calibrates the output characteristics of the transmitting side image display part 230. Next, the receiver displays the image data for calibration on the receiving side image display part 230 at the time of starting the communication. The transmitter picks up the image data for calibration, determines the calibration coefficient and the function 225 for calibrating the output characteristics of the transmitting side imaging part 220 and calibrates the output characteristics of the transmitting side imaging part 220.
