PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to maintain a required degree of vacuum for a long time by improving an assembling operation and a production yield. SOLUTION: The display device is a unit component arranged with an outer frame 6 which fixes both ends of a plate control electrode 4 which consists of a large number of band electrode elements 4A placed in parallel with an inside of the outer frame 9 inserted around the opposite side of a rear base plate 1 and a front base plate 21 and the plate control electrode 4 is integrated while both ends of a display area is fixed by the inner frame 6.
