PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption furthermore during standby in a two power supply system switching power supply equipped with a standby power supply circuit and a main power supply circuit. SOLUTION: The switching power supply 1 comprises a standby power supply circuit 9 for supplying an output from a standby power supply and a main power supply circuit 10 for supplying an output from a main power supply wherein the standby power supply circuit and the main power supply circuit are provided with independent rectification circuits 3, 4 and smoothing circuits 5, 6 at prestage of the circuit, respectively. An AC power controller 2 controlled by an external on/off-signal 13 is connected in series to an arbitrary position between an AC power supply P for supplying AC power to the standby power supply circuit and the main power supply circuit and the circuit 4 for rectifying AC power supplied to the main power supply circuit.
