<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which a fixing belt and a plurality of stretch rollers can be fitted together while the fixing belt is prevented from being damaged when the plurality of stretch rollers for stretching the fixing belt are fitted, and work which needs time and labor, and skill is unnecessitated. <P>SOLUTION: In the fixing unit, a first side plate 215 supports a plurality of first bearings that individually and freely rotatably receive first shaft parts of the plurality of stretch rollers on one end side in an axial direction, and a second support plate, not shown in the figure, supports a plurality of second bearings that individually and freely rotatably receives the second shaft parts of the stretch rollers on the other end side.
