<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cellulose mixed ester film free from the adhesion of solution to a die in the feeding of a cellulose mixed ester solution from the die in the case of forming a film of the cellulose mixed ester solution on a substrate, enabling the peeling of the web of the cellulose mixed ester solution from the substrate in a good state, and preventing the deterioration of the film surface and provide a cellulose mixed ester film produced by the production method. <P>SOLUTION: A cellulose mixed ester film is produced by dissolving a cellulose mixed ester in an organic solvent mixture containing dichloromethane as a main solvent, casting the obtained cellulose mixed ester solution on a substrate and peeling the film from the substrate. The cellulose mixed ester is produced by using linter as a raw material and has an acyl substitution degree specified by formulas (S-1) to (S-3), and the organic solvent mixture contains 16-30 mass% aliphatic alcohol having a carbon number of ≤3 in the total organic solvent mixture.
