摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which can reduce a rolling jam by raising the discreteness of a recording medium from a print drum as much as possible without changing the position of the recording medium and which can also attain energy saving. SOLUTION: When a printing drum 101 revolves and a paper feeding start sensor 21 is shielded by a shielding plate 20, a printing sheet 62 is conveyed. If the paper feeding start sensor 21 turns on, an encoder provided in a motor which rotatably drives the printing drum 101 starts counting of the pulse number, the pulse number until the printing sheet 62 is removed by a separation nail 114 and its tip is detected by a paper discharge sensor 22 is counted.
