摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold thickness adjusting mechanism simplified in its structure and low in cost. SOLUTION: The mold clamping device of an injection molding machine is constituted so as to produce mold clamping force by connecting a fixed platen and a movable platen by a plurality of tie bars and meshing half nuts with the tie bars to mount the leading ends of the tie bars to the piston in the mold clamping cylinder provided to the fixed platen. The beams for mutually connecting a plurality of the tie bars arranged in a horizontal direction are respectively arranged up and down on the side of the fixed platen. An adjusting cylinder mechanism for bringing the connection beams into contact with the fixed platen and separating them from the fixed platen is provided and a wedge mechanism is provided between the platens and the connection beams.
