PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recorder using a thermal head, which prevents density variation from being generated because of temperatures different in positions in the thermal head to stably record a high-resolution and high-quality image. SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recorder records an image on a thermosensitive recording materials, and is provided with a control means having a function to control separately a plurality of cooling fans arranged along a direction of a thermal head 66 width (a recording width). The control means preferably makes control by a temperature measurement result by a plurality of temperature measuring means arranged along the direction of the thermal head width (the recording width), coupled with a size of the thermosensitive recording material, or an outside air temperatue and/or an ambient temperature of the thermal head.
