PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve controllability in an ice melting operation in an air conditioner 10 wherein the ice melting operation is performed to a use-side heat exchanger 53 to which ice is attached. SOLUTION: This air conditioner 10 comprises a control means 81 for controlling the ice melting operation on the basis of the estimated amount of ice by estimating the amount of ice attached to the use-side heat exchanger 53 on the basis of a measured value by a temperature measuring means 54, an opening of an expansion valve 52, or a measured value of a room temperature measuring means 56.
