PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform forced stop control of the operation of a compressor for saving power consumption at suitable timing considering an actual operating situation. SOLUTION: The operation of the compressor 10 in an air-conditioning apparatus 2 is forcibly stopped only for a specific period for power saving. The forced stop is started at the timing based on a point of time when heavy load operation with large operation load immediately after the operation start of the compressor 10 shifts to light load operation in which a parameter equivalent to the operation load is a fixed value or less.
