<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a reception side to confirm an existence of a mail whose opening time and opening place are designated from a transmission side even when reception conditions are not ready. <P>SOLUTION: When the opening place designation mail is transmitted from a mail transmission A, his or her own portable terminal 40 is informed of the mail reception and a mail receiver B can receive and store the opening place designation mail in his or her own portable terminal 40 even when he/she is not in the mail opening place GP designated by the mail opening place designation. In doing so, since the mail receiver B receives the opening place designation mail from the mail transmission A and stores it in his or her own portable terminal 40, his or her own portable terminal 40 is informed of a mail opening place PD on the basis of the position information GP on the mail opening place attached to the mail opening place designation.
