PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container transport vehicle used for mainly suspending an empty container to be transported, which is composed to be capable of traveling on a public road. SOLUTION: This container transport vehicle is composed of a car body 2, a mast device 3, an elevating device 4, a spreader 5, and a rotating device 6. The elevating device 4 is provided to luff the mast device 3 from a roughly vertical state to a roughly horizontal state where it is overlapped with an upper part of the car body 2, and luff the mast device 3 to the car body 2. The rotating device 6 is provided to rotate the spreader 5 to the mast device 3 from a horizontal state being perpendicular to the mast device 3 to a vertical state being parallel to the mast device 3.
