MANUFACTURING METHOD OF ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electric double layer capacitor for efficiently manufacturing the electric double layer capacitor whose internal resistance has been reduced fully. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an electric double layer capacitor comprises an ultrasonic junction process for laminating a conductive spacer 12 on an anvil 22 in which irregularities are formed on the surface, and an electrode sheet 20 in which a layer 16 containing an active material is formed on both the surfaces of current collection foil 14 made of metal containing aluminum so that a lead section 18 remains while the conductive spacer 12 is in contact with the lead section 18, and pressing the electrode sheet 20 by an ultrasonic horn 24 in which irregularities are formed on the surface and applying ultrasonic waves for joining, thus obtaining an electrode sheet having a spacer; a lamination process for alternately arranging the electrode sheet having a spacer and a separator and arranging adjacent electrode sheets having a spacer in a stagger for obtaining a laminate; and a pressing process for pressing the lamination section between the conductive spacer 12 and the lead section 18.
