PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sound field expanding effect and a sophisticated design by using a loudspeaker for reproducing the lower register and two loudspeakers for reproducing the middle and upper registers. SOLUTION: The video image display device has a main display body provided with a thin display unit, a low-frequency loudspeaker (woofer) (3) and two middle and high frequency loudspeakers (tweeters) (4a, 4b). In a housing containing the loudspeakers, a plurality of through holes are formed in a first area R1 corresponding to an aperture of each loudspeaker (3, 4a, 4b) and a plurality of blind holes are formed in a second area R2 surrounding the first area R1. The peripheral shape and size of the second area R2 are different between the first loudspeaker (3) and the second loudspeakers. (4a, 4b). The above arrangement can attain the improved sound field expanding effect and sophisticated design by using one woofer and two tweeters. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
