PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable non-linear color conversion to be performed concurrently relating to an image signal in a device for processing a motion picture like a television receiver. SOLUTION: The device comprises inverse correcting means 3 for performing inverse correction of gamma correction applied to an input image signal; color converting means 4 for performing color conversion by a linear process of the image signal inversely corrected by the inverse correcting means 3, in response to color reproduction characteristics and/or standard white color of the input image signal; correction data outputting means 6 having a 3-dimensional lookup table for storing correction data responding to the amount of the color conversion caused by the linear process, supplying at least any one of the input image signal and the image signal inversely corrected by the inverse correcting means 3, and outputting the correction data corresponding to the supplied image signal; and adding means 10, 11 for adding the correction data outputted from the correction data outputting means 6 to the image signal after being performed the color conversion by the color converting means 4.
